Golf Injuries Are Different. So Is How We Treat Them.

Golf puts a unique set of demands on the body — repeated high-speed rotation, asymmetrical loading, and hours on your feet. When something breaks down, it’s rarely isolated. A sore lower back is often a hip mobility problem. A shoulder that won’t cooperate is often a thoracic rotation issue that’s been loading the wrong structures for years.

Riley Capra is our golf physio. He’s TPI-certified (Level 1 Medical), works with golfers from social players to competitive amateurs, and understands the sport well enough to know that getting you back on the course is only part of the job — keeping you there is the other part.

If your body is affecting your game, we’ll find out exactly how — and build a plan to fix it.

What We Treat

  • Lower back pain — the most common golf injury, and usually very treatable
  • Golfer’s elbow and wrist injuries
  • Shoulder pain and rotator cuff irritation
  • Hip and gluteal pain affecting rotation and weight transfer
  • Knee pain from repeated twisting and load
  • Neck stiffness limiting backswing
  • Post-surgical return to golf

Who We Work With

  • Recreational golfers managing pain that’s stopping them enjoying the game
  • Club and competitive players wanting to stay injury-free through the season
  • Golfers who’ve noticed a drop in distance, consistency or turn
  • Anyone returning to golf after injury or surgery
  • Seniors wanting to keep playing for longer
  • Juniors building a physical base that supports their development

What to Expect

Your first session with Riley starts with a thorough assessment — understanding your injury history, your swing, and what you’re actually trying to achieve. Depending on what you need, this may include hands-on treatment, movement analysis, and a targeted exercise program to address what’s limiting you.

If a full TPI Golf Screen is appropriate, Riley will recommend it as a next step — it maps your physical limitations directly to your swing mechanics and gives you a clear, evidence-based picture of what to work on. Learn more about the TPI Golf Screen →

The TPI Advantage

Riley holds TPI Level 1 certification — a qualification that trains physios to assess the physical limitations that drive swing faults and injury risk. Hip mobility, thoracic rotation, shoulder range, load tolerance — these aren’t separate from your golf game, they are your golf game.

Where appropriate, we use objective strength and movement testing to track progress and make sure decisions are based on data, not guesswork. You’ll know where you’re at and what the next milestone looks like.
